About 116,086 runners participated in the 10.10.10 A Run for the Pasig River held in Metro Manila, Philippines on October 10, 2010, breaking a Guiness world record for the largest foot race ever assembled.

ABS-CBN Foundation, the organizer of the Run for the Pasig River, said that while 160,000 signed up for the race, only 116,086 runners finished the historic race, which broke the record set by San Francisco’s Bay to Breakers race in 1988. It also topped the official Philippine record of most number of runners in a foot race at 30,000.

"We have 160,000 names and gave out 160,000 bids but the count at the finish line is 116,086 so I think we have broken the world record," Gina Lopez, ABS-CBN Foundation director, was quoted as saying, citing official figures by auditing firm Sycip, Gorres and Velayo (SGV).

The race had four events: 3-kilometer, 5-kilometer, 10-kilometer and 21-kilometer race.  It had three starting points: SM Mall of Asia, CCP Complex, and Ayala Avenue in Makati City.

Participants included students, government employees, members of religious groups, policemen, soldiers, and members of non-government organizations, business sector, and private institutions.
