Paul del Rosario became the first Filipino world jetski champion when he ruled the 2010 QuakySense-IJSBA World Finals in Lake Havasu City, Arizona in October 2010.

Paul del Rosario of the Philippines beat his American and European rivals to capture the Premium Open Expert Runabout crown in the International Jetsports and Boating Association (IJSBA)-organized World Finals.

"Banking on his turbo four-stroke Yamaha boat set up by Rius Racing, Paul upstaged his more illustrious rivals," according to news reports.  He beat John Hecox of Gothenburg, Nebraska who emerged as the runner-up and Dennis Mack of Loganville, Georgia who placed third.  Ranked fourth and fifth were Deniso Casarini of Sao Paulo, Brazil and Greco Giuseppe of Serbia.

“This one is for the Philippines. It feels great to win in this event which is considered as the Formula One of Jet Ski. There were strong competitors who joined in this tournament. It feels even greater to know that with this victory, the world has come to know more about the Philippines," Del Rosario said after winning the international jet ski competition.
