Filipino pound-for-pound boxing champion Manny Pacquiao scored a sensational victory over Mexican Antonio Margarito to win the WBC Super Welterweight crown, his eighth world title in eight divisions, making him the undisputed best boxer in the world.
Pacquiao, the 31-year-old southpaw who became a congressman in the Philippines because of his immense popularity as a boxer, won over Margarito via a unanimous decision during a bout held at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on the night of November 13, 2010 (morning of November 14 in Manila).
The superwelterweight division (150 pounds) is the eighth weight division ruled by Pacquiao, who first fought at 112 pounds during the start of his career.
Pacquiao defeated Margarito, despite the latter's height and weight advantage. Pacquiao entered the ring at 148 pounds, or 17 pounds lighter than the 165-pound Margarito.
